The Objective
The goal was to maximize efficiency by completing a comprehensive scale cleanout within 2-7/8” tubing, followed by a 10% HCL acidizing treatment—all in a single trip per well across four wells. Full-Metal-Power’s metal-to-metal motor was selected to deliver consistent performance and durability under demanding downhole conditions, aiming to reduce rig time and operational costs.

Execution and Duration
During execution, the first two wells completed cleanout in just 2 days, followed by a 1-day acidizing operation—delivering results 2 days ahead of typical rig time when compared to conventional motors. Despite encountering a slower Rate of Penetration (ROP) on the last two wells, the operations were completed successfully within the planned timeframe, achieving the project’s goals across all four wells.
Results
Full-Metal-Power’s metal-to-metal motor demonstrated impressive results across all four wells. The initial two wells exceeded efficiency expectations, delivering a reduced rig time, while the remaining wells maintained steady performance despite variable ROP. This project highlighted the motor’s durability, resilience, and potential for significant time and cost savings, confirming its value in high-demand downhole operations.
- Efficiency Gains: The first two wells achieved significant rig time reduction.
- Tool Durability: The motor remained functional across four wells, with only minor corrosion noted.
- Value: Consistent performance and potential for substantial time and cost savings in high-demand operations.
Conclusion
Full-Metal-Power’s motor delivered durability, versatility, and efficiency across multiple wells, proving its capability to handle challenging scale cleanout and acidizing operations. This project exemplifies our commitment to robust, high-performance solutions for extreme applications in geothermal and oil & gas sectors.
